Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA)

Clear your debts in five years or less

If you have large amounts of unsecured debt that you can no longer afford to repay then an IVA could be the best option for you. Introduced by the government over twenty five years ago, IVAs offer a genuine alternative for people who would otherwise have no option but to declare bankruptcy.

An IVA is a legally binding agreement between yourself and your creditors in which you make a single reduced monthly repayment for a fixed period of time. In return at the end of this period your creditors agree to write off any remaining unpaid debt.

Royal Exchange will refer you to our licensed Insolvency Practice who will deal directly with your creditors and manage your IVA from beginning to end.
